1)TWO CDC REPORTS: There are 10X more infections than reported. That means current ~4 Million reported cases is a huge undercount.1st study did random testing in Indiana. Random is key because 1) we undertest and 2) we bias tests toward symptomatics & their contacts...
2) but we know asymptomatics are also spreaders. Study found 44% of infected had no symptoms in past 2 wks. They estimate infection-fatality rate ~0.6% (six times more than flu.) High prevalence among minorities—likely ones working essential services...

3) 2nd study looked at antibodies in individuals across 10 cities. Again, 10X as many people had antibodies than reported cases. This has consequences for re-opening. With so much virus circulating, social distancing & masks more important than ever

3) Fatality rates in eastern US (hit by European variant) are higher than western US. Still, correlation isn't causation so more studies needed. If relationship holds, would be one of number of factors, e.g. age distribution, public health measures, etc...

More evidence that low-dose exposure results in asymptomatic disease. Study follows two cohorts of Swiss soldiers. One cohort was infected prior to social distancing when there was lots of mingling. The second cohort got infected after going into social distancing...1/2
...while 30% of the first group developed symptomatic disease, none in social distancing cohort developed symptoms, even though 13 tested positive for SARS-2. Importantly, the asymptomatic cases still had antibodies..2/2
