@C4Ciaran Action for Children, Barnardo’s, The Children’s Society, the NSPCC and the National Children’s Bureau commissioned Alma Economics to model the government's response to last year's Independent Review of Children's Social Care, led by Josh MacAlister.
The research, shared with @Channel4News, warns that the government is set to spend an additional £1 billion on children's social care over 10 years as a result of not immediately implementing the review's recommendations.

Exclusive: Channel 4 News has seen a letter signed by Black Labour MPs calling on Sir Keir Starmer to take "urgent action" on anti-Black racism in the party following the Forde report.
"Despite our Party’s claims to be anti-racist [...] we, our members and supporters are losing faith in the ability and commitment of this leadership to tackle the issues raised in the Forde report, and we demand urgent action,” the letter reads.

Channel 4 News has found at least nine cameras made by Chinese CCTV manufacturer Hikvision on the Manchester base of the UK’s intelligence, cyber and security agency GCHQ.
The cameras were found at Heron House - which GCHQ describes as its “secure site in the North West”. ImageImageImage
Beijing based Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company is blacklisted by the US government amid concerns over national security and the systems are being used by China in the surveillance and oppression of the Uyghur Muslim population in Xinjiang.

According to the data from @JLPartnersPolls for @Channel4News, the Tories would lose half of their voters from the last election in these historically Labour-dominated constituencies.
Boris Johnson was credited with 2019’s unlikely electoral success in the ‘red wall’ - but there seems to be little desire for his return, with Rishi Sunak now beating him in popularity by 20 percentage points.
