My opponent @RichforGA has spread misinformation about COVID-19 so many times that it’s hard to keep up. Here’s a timeline of some of his worst offenses to help you keep track:
On February 27th, @RichforGA said that the seasonal flu is worse than COVID-19 and that Georgians had no need to worry, as there were zero confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state. GA now has 150,000+ cases. Gwinnett has the most in GA.
On February 28th, President Trump retweeted @RichforGA’s video praising him after banning Dr. Fauci from TV appearances.

On March 4th, @RichforGA praised President Trump for his “excellent leadership” and “decisive and appropriate response” to coronavirus. Today, the US has the most COVID deaths in the world.
On March 9th, @RichforGA retweeted a post from President Trump that downplayed the severity of coronavirus by comparing its effects to that of the flu.
On March 9th, @RichforGA blamed the media for “creating panic and hype to create headlines” regarding COVID-19.
On March 10th, @RichforGA said that “the media has made this much worse than it actually is” in regards to the virus and yet again implied that the seasonal flu is worse than COVID-19. The death toll in the US now exceeds 140,000.
On March 16th, @RichforGA claimed that coronavirus would be “a bad memory” in “two months.” We’ll let that one speak for itself.
On March 19th, @RichforGA tweeted in defense of President Trump, saying his response would “save lives.” Again, the US has the most COVID deaths in the world.
On April 8th, @RichforGA tweeted this. Per the @AJC, statewide COVID hospitalizations are now hitting a new peak.
On April 9th, @RichforGA said President Trump was doing everything in his power to fight COVID-19. This was less than a month after the President said “I don’t take responsibility at all.”
On May 16th, @RichforGA tweeted the following in support of President Trump and Governor Kemp’s push to reopen the economy despite warnings from scientists and public health officials against it.
On May 26th, @RichforGA said Governor Kemp “made a bold move to open back up” and claimed “data shows we’re doing it safely.” Apparently hosting the RNC was more important than people’s lives.
On June 1st, @RichforGA appeared on right-wing One America News and theorized that GA wasn’t seeing growing cases because society was developing a “herd immunity” to the disease. This week, Georgia experienced a new daily high of reported cases.
His fabrication doesn’t end with putting Georgians at risk with coronavirus: On May 13th, @RichforGA appeared on “Patriots’ Soapbox,” which NBC called a “channel for Qanon study and discussion.”
On June 19th, @RichforGA appeared AGAIN on “Patriot’s Soapbox.” He repeated a racist, anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that George Soros and a Democratic fundraising app were funding the Black Lives Matter movement to the tune of $20 million in order to instigate violence.
With coronavirus cases spiking in Georgia, @RichforGA should take responsibility for the hundreds of thousands of Georgians who are bearing the cost of his, Governor Kemp’s, and the President’s poor judgment.
