At today's briefing, Gov. Cuomo repeated his claim that criticism of his handling of coronavirus in nursing homes is "all politics" and primarily coming from the @nypost.

Is some of some of the commentary over-the-top? Of course.

Was DOH's March 25 order the sole cause of coronavirus in nursing homes? No.

Was it issued in the heat of a high-pressure situation? Yes.
In retrospect, though, a wide range of experts, journalists and commentators agree the March 25 order was a mistake that, at a minimum, risked making a bad situation worse.

Dismissing this view as "all politics" is a disservice to the public health.
