Kargil war holds some valuable lessons for us.

No matter what Pakistan govt says about peace with us,it can never be trusted

There is an authority above the Govt in Pakistan & that is the deep state which includes Pakistani Army & its spy agency,ISI.

#KargilVijayDiwas
Till the deep state has the final say in the foreign policy of Pakistan, peace between the two nations will always remain an illusion!

#KargilVijayDiwas
Kargil war exposed the nuclear bluff of Pakistan that it used for its leverage and took hostage of the global community.

It proved that in scenario of a war with limited escalation, the nuclear weapons of Pakistan would remain nothing more than a chimera.

#KargilVijayDiwas
India, as an ancient civilization, stands for peace, tranquility and the welfare of humanity at large.

However, our doctrine of peace should not be assumed as a symbol of weakness and cowardice.

#KargilVijayDiwas
Once a situation of war is forced upon us, we give unparalleled, befitting replies to our enemies of all hues and colour, lessons that they would not forget even in their wildest dreams!

#KargilVijayDiwas
We could have crossed the borders and captured the areas of Pakistan during the fall of Kargil War.
But we didn't as we had a tall statesman like Late PM Shri AB Vajpayee Ji who, through his benign gesture gave an impression to the world that India, as a responsible state and a follower of International laws would never encroach the territory of other states.
This gesture of Vajpayee ji greatly enhanced our goodwill at the International level as well as among the western civil society groups.
At a time when entire country was standing solidly behind PM Vajpayee Ji it was the then leader of opposition Smt Sonia Gandhi who said,
"We cannot leave the fate of the country in the hands of an incompetent caretaker government (BJP).
And hence, we have demanded a special session of the Rajya Sabha."
Even at that time, the concern of the Congress party was not about the National security and safety of our soldiers but about credit the Vajpayee govt would get if India wins the war against Pakistan!

Shamelessness has always been the hallmark of the Congress party!
The same script was repeated by the party twenty years later in 2019 after Indian Air Force did surgical strike at Balakot terrorist camps in Pakistan.
This time it was the Congress scion and Son of then Leader of Opposition, Shri Rahul Gandhi who instead of celebrating the heroism of our Air Force, doubted its credibility and infact accused the @BJP4India of using surgical strike for Politics.
The country taught them the lesson for this treachery and Congress was reduced to ashes in the Lok Sabha elections of 2019.
Also Kargil war exposed the Trojan Horses of India-
the leftists, academia & civil society.

These people, instead of blaming Pakistan for imposing a war upon India, were baiting for the Blood of the then PM Atal ji & were accusing him for putting the country on the path of war.
They did everything- wrote articles, gave speeches, organised seminars and conferences to tarnish and destroy the image of India and portray the Country and our PM Vajpayeeji Ji as a messenger of War!
How many good friends we may have at the global level, at the end of the day we have to be 'Aatmanirbhar' or self-reliant in order to hold our standing at the international platform.
When the Pakistani troops took positions in Kargil in 1999,one of the first things the Indian military sought was GPS data for the region.

The space based navigation system maintained by the US government would have provided vital information, but the US denied it to India.
This ultimately led to India developing its own navigation system IRNSS-1G(Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System), all thanks to the ISRO.

It is for this reason that our @narendramodi Ji has been focusing on making India Aatmanirbhar for its defence and strategic needs!
Therefore, while celebrating #KargilVijayDiwas, let's not forget these valuable lessons that emerged out of the war and let's resolve to carry those lessons with us in the future.

Long live the Indian Army!

Vande Mataram!

Bharat Mata ki Jai!
