In 1933, Rahmat Ali wrote a pamphlet 'Now or Never' addressed to the Round Table Conference asserting that India was never a home of one single nation or having one common history. It was created for the first time by British. Sounds similar to ideas of some people, doesn't it?

२३ वर्षांपूर्वी बरोबर आजच्याच दिवशी म्हणजेच २६ जुलै १९९९ रोजी भारताने पाकिस्तानी सैन्याच्या ताब्यात असलेले अखेरचे भारतीय ठाणे पुन्हा काबीज केले आणि कारगिल युद्धात विजय मिळवला. त्यामुळेच २६ जुलै हा कारगिल विजय दिवस म्हणून साजरा केला जातो.
सुमारे १६ ते १८ हजार फुटांवर साधारण ६० दिवस हे युद्ध चालले. भारताने या युद्धाला #ऑपरेशनविजय असे सांकेतिक नाव दिले होते. तर पाकिस्तानने यालाच #ऑपरेशनबद्र असे संबोधले.

कारगिल युद्ध को जम्मू-कश्मीर के कारगिल सेक्टर में लाइन ऑफ कंट्रोल के किनारे, 1999 के मई-जुलाई के दौरान लड़ा गया था। इस युद्व में भारतीय सेना ने पाकिस्तान के 3 हजार सैनिकों को मार गिराया था। यह युद्ध 18 हजार फीट की ऊंचाई पर लड़ा गया था।
कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान भारतीय सेना को कई बड़ी मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ा था। पाकिस्तानी सैनिक ऊंची पहाड़ियों पर थे जबकि हमारे सैनिकों को गहरी खाई में रहकर उनसे मुकाबला करना था। भारतीय जवानों को आड़ लेकर या रात में चढ़ाई कर ऊपर पहुंचना पड़ रहा था, जोकि बहुत जोखिमपूर्ण था।
कारगिल युद्ध 60 दिनों तक चला और अंततः 26 जुलाई 1999 को पाकिस्तान को मुंह की खानी पड़ी। भारत में युद्ध में विजय पताका फहराई और देश के स्वाभिमान के इस प्रतीक को ‘ऑपरेशन विजय’ नाम दिया गया।
#कारगिल #युध्द काळात हवाई दलाच्या विमानांनी सुमारे साडेसहा हजार उड्डाणे केल्याचे सांगितले जाते. याच काळात हवाई दलाच्या दळणवळण विभागानेही सुमारे साडेसहा हजार टन शस्त्रसामुग्री व अन्य वस्तूंची ने-आण करत मोठा वाटा उचलला.
नौदलानेही या काळात पाकिस्तानी नौदलाची चांगलीच नाकाबंदी केली. #ऑपरेशनतलवार अंतर्गत भारतीय नौदलाने पाकिस्तानला समुद्रमार्गे कोणतीही रसद मिळणार नाही, याची दक्षता घेतली. पश्चिम व पूर्व नौदल मुख्यालयाने अरबी समुद्रावर वर्चस्व राखले. @indiannavy

Captain Vikram Batra of the 13 J&K Rifle. he had captured in his first gallant exploits in the Kargil war.
He mayterd fighting Pakistani forces during the Kargil war in 1999 at the age of 24. He was given the highest wartime gallantry award Param Vir Chakra.

Lieutenant Pandey was a soldier of 1/11 Gorkha Rifles. His team was tasked to clear enemy positions in order to prevent his battalion from getting exposed in the daylight. The battlefield was Khalubar.
