Here's a direct quote from Bob Iger's memoir about the roadblocks implemented by Ike Perlmutter that prevented movies featuring minorities to be made.
He tried preventing Black Panther from being made. It made $1.344B. He tried preventing Captain Marvel from being made. It made $1.12B.

If you or I made a business decision that prohibited our employer from earning almost $2.5B, our careers would be in ruins.
Even after the company's own CEO admitted Ike's problems, the Mouse has still allowed him to retain his position.

Up until...*checks notes*...eight months ago, Perlmutter was still making major decisions regarding the entire stable of Marvel characters.
Though largely out of the creative process, Ike still has his job.

While you all discuss the events developing around the production of #Daredevil, it needs to be discussed how Perlmutter is still able to retain a job — "largest shareholder" status or not.
