Despite his claims in May to have prioritised the consent of the NI Assembly, his govt simply ignored our Assembly motion asking for an extension of the transition. And they have failed to give business here the most basic information on the changes being forced upon them...
This UK Govt contempt has been made worse by the failure of NI's first ministers to take clear positions or even update the assembly. Since January, there has not been a single substantive update to the Assembly on protocol implementation or Brexit more generally...
There is now less than six months until we are due to leave the transition period. Whatever the outcome of UK-EU talks, there will be an enormous change for business and society here. Its shameful how little information is being shared.
