Coronavirus is awful and tragic and devastating and all the other shitty adjectives too.

But it can be defeated.

There is much we can't control but there is also much we can.

Choose productive action over despair:
-Be kind
-Wear a mask
-Give, help if you can
-Keep showing up
"The tools to defeat evils are around us and in us. The community is hurt and fractured, but today can be great and tomorrow can be better. Work hard. Be kind. The community can save the community, and we all have a role to play." jsonline.com/story/news/sol…
This is what is happening right now. Might as well do the best I can.

"In between two prevailing attitudes—heads in the sand, delusion, over-the-top pollyanna on the one hand; pessimism and despair on the other—lies a third way: wise hope and wise action."thegrowtheq.com/when-the-hard-…
"Our grandparents who lived through a decade long depression, a six year world war, or whatever hardship they faced in their country would tell us we would make it." - @ASlavitt

"Tragic optimism is the ability to maintain hope and find meaning in life despite its inescapable pain, loss and suffering." - @EmEsfahaniSmith

It's hard. Sometimes seems impossible. But it really is the best course.

The people I know who are handling this best are going one day at a time. They are being sad and angry as appropriate. And they are also being happy and experiencing joys as appropriate.

They are doing everything they can. And not beating themselves up over what they can't.
