Being an entrepreneur is often depicted as "loving to live in an emotional roller coaster"...

Let's talk about the cost of it
& what the ones we love, wife, husband, kids, parents, ... endure

I keep thinking that I am an operator, a builder,
that I've always been building right,
and that every move I did had a sense! #vision

But, after 5months far from my wife, my kids,
so close to join them back to France,

I got notified today that it will be impossible for me to board next week without a 72h covid test
- while it requires at least 5 to 10days to get the results in the US atm. #CovidTesting

So I started to wonder:
what should I say to them... for the sacrifice they undergo,
after 18months being far from them building Fairmint in the US, at IDEO, at Boost,
and to my wife after +10 years supporting me building all my businesses. #highsandlows #wonderwoman

Yet I really keep thinking while inequalities have never been so high

that building a stakeholder capitalism is among the best fight - for them - as a legacy...

But when I left, they were 4.5yo and barely 2yo. Now they are 6 and 3. 👭
My Julie learnt to read, to write, to ride a bike, she even lost her first teeth while my Alice learnt to write her name, got rid of diapers and even learnt to swim...
they simply grew... #facetime❤️

So my beliefs came with a high price,
my kids without their dad for almost 16months,
without their toys in boxes since march,
without a bedroom or a home, their home, for weeks
or without knowing where they will start the school in fall
& this is not only the covid...

This is the price , sometimes, for being an entrepreneur. Finally a price that many families endure, for a cause or a will that we, Entrepreneurs, strongly believe in or support.

Today more than ever,
I am proud,
proud to be a believer,
proud to be an entrepreneur,
proud to keep building everyday... for them.
