This is what it looks like in front of the federal courthouse right now. Usually there is less garbage at the start of the evening. It looks like they also added some extra supports on the inside of the fence.
One man in this group says, as Indigenous people, they believe in the power of songs as prayer.

"It was just a vision to bring the hand drums down here and sing our songs to stand and show support and solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement."
Projected on the side of a building at 3rd and Salmon.
The feds made an early appearance to hose down the area in front of the courthouse just after 9 p.m. Some people in the crowd threw more bags of trash at them.
A woman from the @WallOfMoms was making a smiley face out of fake sunflowers when the feds gave their first warning to not tamper with the fence.
Another warning. This guy also came over and yelled at people by the federal courthouse to stop messing with the fence and go over to the Justice Center where people are giving speeches. He yelled early on how the people at the fence are white.

"Peaceful protest!"
Feds out just standing in front of courthouse. Looks like they have red and green lights on their helmets.
And now they've gone back inside. Very unusual.
Just gave a third warning. Speeches are still going on at the Justice Center.
Same group from earlier, now drumming and singing in front of the federal courthouse.
First fire I've seen tonight. It is dying down now.
Some people were banging on the fence, prompting a fourth warning from federal officers. Then someone ran up to the courthouse doors and then back out over the fence again.
.@WallOfMoms and a bunch of other protesters just marched into the street in front of the courthouse chanting "Black lives matter!"
5th warning is met with chants of "feds go home!"
Looks like a big fire over where the elk used to be. Smaller fire inside fence.
After a couple small fireworks and one mortar, feds issued a 6th warning.
This man has been walking around inside fence while holding a flower.
A huge mortar just went off in the street (basically in middle of crowd). Someone yelled "party foul!"

Now feds are giving 7th warning. A big mortar then went off in front of the courthouse doors.
Feds outside now. Flower guy still inside fence
Aaaaaand they went back inside. One of the livestreamers next to me gave his helmet to flower guy (who says his name is Aaron).
Trying to get others to join him.

"They can't arrest us all."
&
"That's why they made the second ammendment. So that this would not happen."

Then he came back over to fence and said, "If I die, avenge me."
8th warning. Aaron (the flower guy) appears to be the only person inside fence.
Feds appear to have shot pepper balls at this person as they were lighting a firework inside the fence. I don't think they came outside though. Probably just used the window flaps.
9th warning. The fire in the background got pretty big a couple minutes ago.
Person uses flames from trash fire to light another mortar, then books it back over the fence.
Not sure where flower guy is, but sounds like feds shot a bunch of pepper balls at people along fence. Now giving 10th warning. People throwing more fireworks.
Lots of fireworks going over the fence. Here are two.
Feds just declared unlawful assembly. Sounds like they were advising protesters to get away from federal property to avoid arrest/use of force. But it is really loud out here so hard to decipher exact message.
An eventful few minutes. Feds came out and started spraying down fire. Then someone launched a firework at them and they started pepper balling the crowd.
I was standing in an area with a lot of people wearing helmets marked "press." Some people in the crowd kept chucking things at federal officers while standing near us, so excuse my ducking and weaving in the following videos.
More pepper balling.
Officers moving in from all sides now.
Video 1/2: Officers went into the streets around 2:15 a.m. They used tear gas, flash bangs & other munitions to push people back several blocks. I saw officers looking in tents in Lownsdale Square. Near 4th & Salmon, they faced of w/demonstrators who threw fireworks.
Video 2/2: Officers deployed lots of tear gas as they retreated. Someone wearing body armor labeled "press" yelled at officers who were behind the fence. They shot pepper spray at him as he walked away and, moments later, pepper sprayed two more people that I saw.
I left the area of the courthouse around 3 a.m. Only a small crowd of demonstrators remained.
