There is a bit of a paradox in media studies.

1. Strong evidence of strong left tilt of journalists.
2. Lot of content studies can't find any effects of this.

Somehow journalists immune to bias.

But wait a minute. Who does content studies? Oh right...

Naturally, after failing to find evidence of their own bias, scholars proceeded to try to understand why the public keeps perceiving the media as leftist when they supposedly aren't. Very similar to the stereotype accuracy debate, with tons of research on supposed inaccuracy.
