@daftbil Basically you get what you pay for, and the most important thing to remember with off-the-shelf Dell's etc is that the prices are what they are for a reason.

And that reason is normally that they skimp you on the power unit and other things.
@daftbil That means that they'll last you for a couple of years, but you don't really have an upgrade path beyond that. You'll be buying fresh again.

Whereas with something like a Gladiator you're getting something he can love, but also learn from and improve, getting that few more years
@daftbil I literally helped a mate upgrade his PC for the first time in his life a couple of weekends ago. New card, new SSD, fresh windows install.

It was a Gladiator, so it had all the power it needed, was easy to open and for him to see what he needed to do etc.
@daftbil I didn't really have to do anything. Just be there as an emergency comfort blanket. Wish it had been like that back in my day when I was upgrading my first PC (i put in my own graphics card at uni. It had a whole 2mb of RAM)!
@daftbil Anyway. That's my recommendation. Hey, @GladiatorPC wanna help a 14 year old out on his very first PC Gaming journey with a discount code. G'wan. You know you want to. He'll be hooked for life! 😄
