Few years ago i was speaking in a Street corner meeting in a town called Singarapettai

We were standing right below Ramaswamy Naicker's statue, it was a DMK stronghold

As i started to speak bustling place came to a stand still & there was an eerie silence

We were just 10 ppl

Our BJP team had put around 20 loud speakers covering the entire main area of the town, so our speech was reverberating in the entire area. Of course few people were in front of the speaker

Local BJP Karyakarta whispered in my ears to make my speech spicy 😀

On stage i avoid the niceties and plunged straight into the topic

Some excerpts

This Ramaswamy Naicker ( Periyar ) said
"Tamil is a barbarians language
Tamilians are barbarians
Dont even talk to your servant maid in Tamil"

This person Ramaswamy Naicker has insulted Tamilians

As i was speaking some one threw a bottle at me, missed the target, continued to speak , our team got jittery
"Ramaswamy N* has insulted and humiliated Tamils, the joke is DMK which talks of self respect movement is mum when EVR has had a sling shot at the self respect of Tamils"

"My question to Dravidian parties is , either you love Tamil or you love Ramaswamy Naicker, how can you have posters of some one who insulted Tamil and you talk of Tamil "

Around 15 black shirts surrounded me and asked me to stop, police came in , they asked me proof , i gave it

After the drama we left, i was told knives were drawn out to attack

I was informed after the incident many joined BJP in the town
