#ARMYREALTALK I've been discussing organizing the fandom for a while now. In many of my threads. And since I brought it up I've been quite busy, sketching out ideas, gathering resources and trying to start on it. With help from some of my lovely moots and after +
A few months of observation and of solidifying some ideas I came up with the #purplehub and #purplehandbook idea which I will explain in this thread. Please feel free to share it and comment after reading the entire thing. Beware this may be quite long but I feel+
It is an important conversation and something we need to have. So let's dive in.
WHAT IS THE #PURPLEHUB?
The hub would be a directional website aiming to gather the already existing resources in our fandom with the aim of providing a space where all aspects, all components+
Of our fandom can connect, a place where everyone (GP and ARMY) can find any information related to the fandom and BTS and can be directed to the places or the correct sources to get that information.

One purpose of the hub will be to collaborate with as many+
Of our existing accounts as possible, across twitter, IG, Facebook, and other platforms so we can keep connected and be on the same page. We want to collaborate with already ongoing projects like @allforarmy and other fan accounts, websites and projects. +
The idea is to use the fandom to regulate the fandom. Provide a space where existing accounts can collaborate, connect, and touch base on anything and everything without upsetting the balance of things or interfering in the way they run while finding a common ground.+
When I say all parts of the fandom I mean, all parts of the fandom. Korean, Chinese, Middle Eastern, European, Australian, North, Central and South American parts of the fandom. We want to bring in big and small fan accounts together and provide support where it is needed.+
The hub aims eventually to also provide/serve as a community style site as well where fans can go to either propose projects, vote on existing/proposed projects, but also to discuss strategies (grammy related, billboard related, radio related and more).+
Specialty accounts and/or fan accounts can pick up whatever projects fit them or sounds interesting/feasible and have been voted on the most in order to put them in motion. And the hub will help provide support for those as well.+
We want to make a space to push and promote our academic account ARMYs, our ARMY writers, our ARMY publications and facilitate the discovery of those talents and publications by the fandom. From fictional/creative work by ARMY, to theorists, +
To more research oriented and academic style work of writing that that individuals in the fandom want to share, BTS related or not. Same goes for our media creative ARMYs (artists, video editors, graphic designers and more). To promote more support in the fandom+
And talent discovery. These creative people or outlets and more would have the option of using the hub as a gateway to link their works and post them, the opportunity to discuss, collaborate with others if they want, and the hub would provide as space where they +
Could find resources and be inspired and stimulated, same goes for those of in academia and interested in such things.

The hub aims to also provide support for our specialty accounts like @BTSARMYKitchen, and ARMY Tutors for academic subjects and more by +
Being the directorial resource that it is/support system. People who need help or are interested in such things will be able to find them by simply navigating the website and with the community style option would also be able to make their own little communities too+
Fans would be able to navigate accounts and resources and websites by counties, regions and states. The entire website would be translated in the selected languages below, but more languages can be added as voted by fandom or as needed/by popular demand based on + ImageImage
Translator availability. It will help facilitate streaming, and voting and help facilitate the tailoring of these things by regions, countries, and charts. It would help better coordinate streaming parties, help stage streaming/charting rehearsals, set better goals +
And reach them, establish tag culture when streaming especially during comeback season so we are able to stream more consistently and effectively (tasking and leaving the streaming to different parts of the fandom based on timezones etc..), same goes for voting.+
It would also helps us agree on important and planned hashtags and trend them more effectively (even though we already rule this app, I suspect we can do better 😂).

Not only that, the hub also plans on creating and undertaking and collaborating on projects like+
Making documentaries and informative videos. We would also provide support for ongoing ones, or as per requested by the fandom through votes, focusing on different aspects like being Muslim and ARMY, misconceptions/stereotypes on Korean ARMY, Black ARMY, Chinese ARMY, +
LGBTQA ARMY, the misrepresentation of ARMY in the media and in general, the Psychology of being ARMY and more subjects and interesting takes. These videos would be posted on the Hub's YouTube channel or on the channel of the original fanbase that requested the Making of +
The specific video or project and these will be also linked on the website and stored for reference. The hub would also help promote ARMY informational/educational and creative podcasts and more. This would help reduce the spread of misinformation, and will help with+
Being more aware and informed on what it means to be a diverse fandom. This will be good material to direct GP and new ARMY and any curious people towards, and also will help promote tolerance.

We can have our own around the globe daily news segments/posts+
So we can be more aware of things going on with our fellow fans. That way we will have everyone's back when they need it and will be kept aware of the happenings around the globe on account that our fellow ARMYs reside in all these places. It will help make us more +
Tuned into humanitarian causes and societal trends and norms going in different parts of our fandom, so we can better understand each other's stances on different issues in order to be more conscious and considerate of each other. +
We also want to provide a space whre we can give more visibility and promotion to our fundraising accounts (to help armys that are not as fortunate financially with merch and ticket purchases, songs and album purchases especially for comeback season and new releases),+
To help charitable projects like OIAA reach more people and perhaps even collab with other fandom charities across the globe, to facilitate getting sponsors for our bigger projects and facilitate the creation of more charitable/humanitarian projects through joint efforts like+
Fandom proposals and more.

We can also provide a space where people can offer their services to help with mental health supportz counseling and more.

Another aim of the hub us the to eventually see if we can get our fanbase accounts authenticated/verified so that +
We can avoid the good old situations where people reach out the the wrong accounts, reduce the possible of getting conned and taken advantage of by ill-intended people. It would make it easier for fans to navigate online and know which accounts to get their news/info from.+
This would help keep track of Akgae accounts, Sassaeng accounts, and other problematic aspects of the fandom.

PS: I know the twitter verification/check mark process has been put on hold which is why i stated eventually and also am thinking of another we can +
Authenticate them in our own special way.

In order to facilitate that we were also thinking of establishing a registry mechanism where fanbase accounts can register/sign up for this support/feature.

We want to make it so our translators works are protected,+
As well as fan artwork. The hub aims to help protect our translators accounts and our big accounts and make it easier to debunk rumors.

Journalists and bloggers/writers will have no excuse for ill-researched articles and pieces if we have such a resource because +
They could go to the hub to get information or to connect with the correct people for interviews, and more and it would be easy to reach out to and easily locate the right accounts, or the right people to reach before writing their pieces.

The hub will be across all +
Platforms: Twitter, IG, Facebook, YouTube, and more.
But in order for the hub to work well there is a second and super important component: The #purplehandbook

WHAT IS THE #PURPLEHANDBOOK?

The baseline of the handbook is to help define ARMY and help provide +
A set of etiquettes and guidelines that we can agree on. This definition will be based on BTS and BIG HIT own words and mission statement, + ImageImageImageImage
Their message of positivity but also taking into account the thoughts of the fandom which we will gather through surveys and questionnaires and polls. +
A simple example: Can you call yourself A.R.M.Y while engaging in racist, homophobic, discriminatory, and harmful behaviour?
Such questionnaires and polls and surveys will be translated in as many languages as possible and circulated around, and the results will also help determine the definition of A.R.M.Y.

Similar polls and surveys will be conducted to help set up etiquettes and guides on how +
To approach different situations such as dealing with antis, mantis, solo fans, and more problematic things like badly written articles, ill-intent clout chasers, terrible journalistic work on BTS, and the fandom. How to deal with unconfirmed statements. And these rules will+
Also be based on not only our definition as a fandom, but also the image we want to project, the message we stand for, how it reflects on BTS, on kindness, consideration, and basic social and human courtesy and rights.

This handbook will also help debunk more +
Misconceptions about ARMY and we hope to collaborate with and use resources like ARMY CENSUS, And similar data gathering projects too and include this information in the ABOUT ARMY part of the hub.

Part of the handbook will be instructional guides for streaming, +
Voting and more and it would be updated as needed (by year or under special circumstances like a sudden change in music platform rules and chart rules etc...), tailored for different charts, awards, by platform, by countries/regions/states. It would cover comeback strategies +
And such.

The handbook would not only be stored on the website but portions of it would be summarized, put on electronic cards/graphic cards, in the format of short instructional videos (creative, funny, cute or not) and circulated as needed depending on season (comeback+
Voting, award, and more), depending on the situation being dealt with by the fandom as a whole or by an individual in the fandom. These cards and videos will be ready and made available to anyone who wants to use them as a reminder for whatever reason.

New rules and +
Guidelines can be proposed and voted on by the fandom through the proposal/community option of the hub which I mentioned above. And these rules can be added to the handbook which as explained would be changed and updated and grow as needed.

This will eventually help reduce+
Infighting and help us police ourselves. This can also help us handle petty matters (fanwars and such) by ourselves without having to send those pesky and unnecessary emails to big hit and help us focus on things that matter.

It would make it easier for us to +
Agree on things that we can request and should be requesting from big hit like asking for subtitles in different languages that are not currently available for non-English, non-korean, non-japanese or Chinese speakers in the fandom and other things that could benefit the +
Fandom as a whole. And help us plan the correct way and channels to ask for these things.

The handbook would helps us reduce/prevent or disassociate ourselves with things like doxxing and attacking people unreasonably. Help avoid the situation that happened during BLM+
Movement, the craziness and evil that happened during the D-2 WDYT debacle, the way we treat and approach POC and minorities in our fandom when something happens to upset them.

Couple with the educational/informational aspects of the hub, it could help reduce ignorance +
In the fandom and with the community aspect people can ask questions and receive answers immediately without having to believe whatever misconstrued craziness they see in the internet and it might help avoid a lot of unnecessary fights and problems.+
The #purplehub and the #purplehandbook projects are both currently in then planning stages and will both be long term projects but due to the upcoming release on 08/21, we have decided to understake a first shorter-term project to help organize things. We are currently +
Recruiting for translators and plan to lend a hand to streaming efforts and voting efforts by making the first versions of the cards mentioned earlier based on existing information. We plan to translate those in as many languages as possible amd circulate them +
Across as many social media platforms as possible.

More info will be posted later this week for recruitment purposes and in the upcoming months more info will also be posted about the overall project along with surveys and polls mentioned above, and we'll also have an+
Official project account ready by then.

Feel free to leave thoughts and comments below. If you would like to participate and help directly in any capacity you can email at purplehub7@gmail.com, for any questions or more clarification requests about the project+
That you do not want to post below please DM me or email us as purplehub.questions@gmail.com.
