@MdVet4 @CMRagan75 @LPTexas The “constituency” for Social Security includes not only current seniors, but most of those who expect to be seniors at some time in the future. Especially those who don’t make enough money to accumulate the vast level of savings and investments that could likely outperform SS.

If you’re 20 (or 30) and you assume you’re going to get rich, you may think cutting and/or privatizing Social Security is a good idea.

If you’re 40 (or 50) and still aren’t rich and you still believe things like that, you’re a fool.
@MdVet4 @CMRagan75 @LPTexas *(In reality, COULD outperform SS—or not, depending on how well the particular “horses” on which one has “bet”, and the markets overall, perform.)
