#Xicheng with a side of Wangxian. The twin prides hold a little competition.

It begins with WWX, because of course it does. JC and WWX were having a normal conversation when WWX spots the twin Jades and remarks on their unparalleled composure. +

“It doesn’t extend to the bedroom for my Lan Zhan unfortunately” he laments, remembering all the times Lan Zhan would keep him up all night. Then he looks slyly over at JC. +

“Hey, if the twin prides seduced the twin jades, who do you think would lose their composure faster, my Lan Zhan or your Lan Xichen?”

JC scoffs. His expression says clearly “My Lan Huan, of course.” And just like that, the competition is on. +

WWX is confident that his five years of marital bliss with his husband will easily win over JC’s measly one year of marriage. He decides to go first. With JC as his witness, he walks out to meet LWJ wearing a spare set of his husband’s Gusu Lan robes. +

LWJ stops in his tracks when he sees WWX. His breath catches. WWX saunters over to him and drapes his arms around LWJ.

“Lan Zhan! Husband! Do I look good like this?” LWJ is staring. WWX watches his eyes track the oversized robe as it slips off his shoulder. +

LWJ is already clenching his hands; his composure so close to snapping.

“Don’t you want me, husband? Don’t you want to tie me up and have your way with me?” LWJ’s ears are an alarming shade of red. +

Just one more small push needed. WWX lets his robe part around his leg to reveal a naked thigh. +

WWX’s gamble works. The second LWJ sees that WWX is not wearing any undergarments, he picks WWX up and princess carries him to the Jingshi. WWX crows in delight. An easy victory. Two minutes! He’d like to see JC beat that! +

The next day is JC’s turn. JC comes out wearing the same clothes as always. WWX doesn’t know whether to feel victorious or suspicious. Did his brother concede defeat already? JC just smirks. +

WWX watches JC march up to LXC and lean in to whisper something in his ear. He watches in horrified fascination as the pristine first Jade of Lan immediately throws JC onto his shoulder before running to the Hanshi.

What just happened?

LXC POV:

LXC is not sure what to think when he walks onto the main road only to see his beloved husband smirking at WWX. What were they up to? He watches JC turn and march confidently towards him. +

LXC smiles; about to ask how Wanyin is doing, when Wanyin leans in right next to his ear. In a low voice, he whispers,

“Gege”

END

Coda: LXC has no recollection of the events after that. All he knows is that he wakes up the next morning to see his Wanyin covered in bruises and love bites. He also has no idea why Wanyin is grinning so much.
