1/ BREAKING: @IAGovernor Kim Reynolds just signed an executive order restoring voting rights to tens of thousands of Iowans with convictions in their past!!!!
2/ This is a HUGE – now NO state in the country has a policy of permanently and categorically banning people from voting because of past convictions -- a historic sea change.

4/ Thanks to @ACLUiowa, @DesMoinesBLM, @NAACPIANE, @lwviowa, @NAMIIowa and so many more who have advocated tirelessly for rights restoration in Iowa. And CONGRATULATIONS to all those who will cast a vote for the first time in a long time this November!
/5 @BrennanCenter is proud to work alongside these fierce advocates. And the fight isnt over. We will continue working toward a permanent fix to Iowa’s constitution
