In Kariba 22 year old Rujeko Hither Mpambwa has been arrested for allegedly insulting President Mnangagwa by posting a message on WhatsApp group criticising him for lacking patriotism over his televised address to the nation. Mpambwa appeared at Kariba Magistrates court Thursday

Mpambwa returns to court Friday, where a Magistrate will hand down a ruling on her bail application.
Mpambwa is the latest person to be arrested & charged for insulting President Mnangagwa among a long list of persons who have been prosecuted for the offence

Chiriseri, who was a passenger in a private vehicle intending to commute to Harare from Chitungwiza, was a victim of an indiscriminate police shooting incident in August 2018 at a police check point along Seke road.
With the assistance of Fiona Iliff of @ZLHRLawyers, Chiriseri sued for damages for injuries sustained as a result of the shooting, medical expenses, pain & suffering, nervous shock & loss of amenities to life.

Shungudzemoyo Kache, a police officer, allegedly told Stanley Mabhachi who was wearing a scarf with the Zimbabwean flag colours that President Mnangagwa is a "used condom".
Kache's lawyer @bamujm of @ZLHRLawyers told the court that his client was taken to ZANU PF headquarters after he was arrested.
Kache has been set free on RTGS$300 bail&returns to court on 22 June.

1.Allegations against @adv_fulcrum are of 'Defeating or obstructing the course of justice' (Criminal Code) after he filed a court application in Constitutional Court on behalf of his client. Allegations are that it was a second application after the first one filed had failed.
2. Several lawyers especially those practising human rights law such as Beatrice Mtetwa, Alec Muchadehama, Andrew Makoni have been charged with this 'Crime'.

3. In the past they have been no convictions of any lawyers charged with this offence that have been represented by @ZLHRLawyers.
