On Monday we introduced the idea of ‘cognitive science’ - and how different disciplines combine to understand how the mind works
On Tuesday, we spoke about what data about the brain can (and cannot) tell us about conscious intentions and free will.
On Wednesday, we spoke about how our brains have to build up a model of the world around us. What we perceive is our brain’s ‘best guess’.
On Thursday we spoke about imitation, mirror neurons, and whether mirror mechanisms are a product of natural selection or forged through social learning
And on Friday we spoke about the ways that culture shapes our beliefs about action, intention and control
