This is a thread on the single greatest urban paddle in the world that many chicago ppl don’t even know exists but which you can do even if you don’t own a kayak.
I brought my kayak down to the Ogden Slip which is right behind the Target on Illinois ave but you can rent or take a tour from the folks at Urban Kayaks right on the river walk in that green building. 
Anyway, you come around the corner from Ogden slip and you are on the chicago river in the heart of one of the greatest skyline views in existence
Keep going—you pass the Booth School building and the Apple store.
Then the ridiculous Trump sign but you commence a muderers row of iconic skyscrapers
At Wolf point, you are at a 3 way juncture and there’s potentially lots of boat traffic here so pay attention (don’t have pics from the passage here because I’m paying attention to the job at hand)
You can go north to goose island but I’m heading south here
I turned around at the ... guess. But chicago #econtwitter will know that right behind this building is the @ChicagoFed and next door is the CME.
And the way back you can see how amazing the river walk is—city winery, tiny tapp, the path. We have got to stop this stupid virus.
But pulling back into Ogden Slip, I can’t emphasize enough to people—this is something to do during covid. It’s socially distanced. It’s breathtaking. It’s good exercise. GO!
