[1/5] Of the most neglected acts of worship in our faith is to actively help bring reconciliation between two people who are no longer on friendly terms. Obviously we ourselves should be on good terms with both parties and be in a position to help.
[2/5] The Quran commands us to be active in bringing reconciliation between any groups of Muslims who aren't getting along; it allows & praises secret meetings by family/friends to discuss tactics on how to bring about reconciliation.
[3/5] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Would you like to know what is even more blessed and of higher rewards than praying, fasting and giving charity? It is to bring peace between two people" [Abū Dawūd]. Thus it is one of the most rewarding of all good deeds!!
[4/5] So don't just sit back & let the drama worsen. Take an active role. Speak to each party. Organize gatherings with mutual friends. Plan w/ tactics on how to bring peace. Know that you are allowed to state untruths to help. Make du'a to Allah...and then execute the plan!
[5/5] If each of us did our parts, bit by bit we could help unify the Ummah and bring about a better society!
