There's currently a second wave of Covid cases in Greece, that looks very similar if not worse to the first. The Greek government denies any link to tourists coming from other countries.

In more detail Greece opened its borders to tourists on the 1st of July. Since 1.3 million tourists have entered the country and about 400 cases have been recorded from tourists tested at the borders. /2
The number of active Covid cases was 1,866 on the 1st of July and is currently up to 3,836. That is an almost 2,000 increase in the number of cases. Out of which 400 (20%) were imported by the government's own admission. /3

What we don't know is:
1.the number of tourists that have not been tested and were potentially positive.
2. The number of people that these people went on to infect if they were not tested and not placed in quarantine. /4

If we assume a generous test rate of 1 in 5 and similar infection rates between the tested and untested population we could extrapulate 2,000 cases in total quite easily without even accounting for these individuals infecting others.

Saying the effect of tourism is negligible and the second wave is the fault of the people for not following the advice is at least laughable. /6
