Eduardo Sosa completely controlled the midfield and was able to draw in defenders to open up through balls to the outside lanes where Fort Lauderdale has found success. Including their 1st goal of the game.
Ricky Ruiz completely eliminated North Texas attack from his side (1st pic). Something that Che & the team exploited against Forward Madison resulting in their game winning goal in week 1. (3rd pic)
And Ryley Kraft only had 6 unsuccessful passes of his 42. Forward depend on picking and choosing when to trap midfielders with double teams to cause a turnover and spring their attack. Ryley kept the ball moving and more importantly was never dispossessed.

For non black folks who wanna understand being black in this country, systemic racism, & injustice, today is a good day to understand. Today is an example of how hundreds of years have passed but it's the same results. How a wall would receive more justice than a black woman...
You can't "fix" this system. It was a system designed while in mind to keep POC down. A system created where black people were not looked at as equals but as property or anything less than equals. This extends to banks, real estate, law, education, physical/mental health, & more.
It's been hundreds of years & while people love to point at outliers as "progress," there's still targeted displacement, reallocated funding, gerrymandering, voting suppression, food desserts, & how an innocent woman can be shot sleeping peacefully in her bed & receive no justice
Shoutout to the league for promoting a derby created by the supporters, for the supporters, and showcases the black soccer community's influence on the game! Something that is easily recognizable but rarely discussed! #USL#HennyDerby uslleagueone.com/news_article/s…
Folks have asked me why Henny is a staple in the black community, so quick facts
Black people were introduced to cognac in France during WWII, being celebrated for their heroism when they weren't in their own country...
The year World War II ended, Ebony magazine was created. Hennessy advertised in Ebony and Jet magazine and created brand loyalty, as one of the few spirits and brands in general who advertised and targeted the black community during this time...
So a Richmond & Forward supporter starts the #Hennyderby organically without the club. Make the trophy, content, & everything else without the club, & now the club creates a campaign with merch to monitize off of it without including Richmond or the guy who actually started it??
I know some of the proceeds go to local black organizations but why isn’t that in ANY of the messaging? Why was the person who literally started this whole thing, not involved in the campaign or even knew about any of it at all? And then folks subtweet him for reacting to it?
Of course folks wanna go to bat for their team cause they share a personal connection with them, but that should make you wanna make sure they do the right thing even more, instead of defending & subbing. But I’m just “jealous” a “hater” & everything else their staff called me.
Look...if I do this damn near 5-10,000 word complete @USLLeagueOne 2020 season preview, y’all gonna actually read & appreciate it? #USL
I've only done @ChattRedWolves so far and it's already at 800+ words...so I guess this is happening. Here's a preview for those new to my writing (shoutout to @bobbycaldwell). #USL
Somewhere between losing my mind and writing the best season preview ever. Here's an excerpt from the @GVLTriumph breakdown. #USL
