Ask yourself this. If the surgeons are guaranteed to profit off of this contract, and the operator/investors obviously aren't doing this for charity (more private profit), who is paying for all this? Taxpayers? 3/
This is what the selling off of your health care looks like. Privatizing the profits for the benefit of a few. Socializing the losses so that there is no risk in those signing the contract. You'll be left holding the bag Alberta. 4/

This makes me furious, but not for the reason you think. I have a highly sought after skill set (Emerg Med in a pandemic), that is transferable almost anywhere in the world. I would probably stand to make MORE money in a private setting if I got creative like these surgeons. 8/
