... Grown women who sign up to promote self-harm to other women, or destroy the rights of other women, or mock other women as irrational for being concerned about male violence, bear some responsibility for these actions. They’re not all being held ransom and forced to clap.
Grown women who enforce the ‘be nice’ ethic, based on female socialization to defer, to ostracize other women who won’t use honorific pronouns, have responsibility for this behavior. It’s one thing to make your own choice in this, and another to join the brute squad enforcing it.
Grown women who take up the mantle of speaking out against the harms of gender identity policy, and use that moral authority in the movement to then bludgeon other women who take it seriously and want to challenge the policies that enable the harms, bear responsibility for this.
