The GOP and the republicans holding office are a clear danger to the health and prosperity of Americans. And they are a danger to both America and its ideals.

The GOP is basically an offshoot of the Confederacy; old, white, rich men who want to remain in power. It's always been that way it just took Donald Trump to become its poster boy to personify its values.
There are phrases that I have heard over and over again regarding the GOP's "values": 1. Fiscal conservatism: it's our money and we don't want to help anyone with it. Hence the "bootstrap" philosophy, see lower taxes;
2. Smaller government: this means less regulation on industry so that workers are exploited and put in dangerous situations all for bigger profits for business owners. Abolishing labor unions could also be added to this section;
3. Limited immigration: maintains the status quo, less brown, black, yellow, or red people translates to less voting power. But ironically these same people are needed to maintain point #2;
4. Free Market: rich get richer, no regulations on monopolies.

None of these "values" help the population at large; they benefit the select old, rich, white men solely. So , no, there is no need for the Republican Party.
