This is confirmed. Chief Carmen Best will resign tomorrow according to a source at City Hall.
This vote comes after the Seattle City Council voted to gut the SPD, which specifically targeted Best’s command staff and will lay off 100 officers, most of whom are officers of color.
This news can't be overstated: a black female police chief in a profession dominated by white men is essentially being driven out by "woke" Seattle politicians.
