The past week has been a hectic one for me. I relocated to a new apartment and with it came the challenges of moving. That meant I would be eating out for a couple days pending when movement would be completed. #irorospeaks

After walking for a while, I came across a restaurant. It was empty, I thought it was probably due to the time. Besides I enjoy my own company so that's fine with me. #irorospeaks

I placed my order and sat down for my order to arrive. Just when I got set to do justice with the bowl that has been set before me, the room went dark. #irorospeaks

"Wow! What just happened?" I wondered. Turned out his generator went off abruptly. Wasn't anyone's fault but his attitude to the situation was what turned me off. #irorospeaks

He sluggishly went to where the generator was. Not an apology or a temporary light for me to use pending when the power would be restored. #irorospeaks

Eating in the dark isn't something I like, especially when I am out. I turned to my phone for light. About 10-15minutes later, power was restored and still no apology. #irorospeaks

I took it in like the swallow I was doing justice with. When I was done, I asked for a toothpick since it wasn't on the table and this guy said his toothpick just finished? Are you kidding me? #irorospeaks

First, I endured eating in darkness, then had to battle with tough meat, and now you're saying you don't have a toothpick. As I went back home, I was angry and uncomfortable. #irorospeaks

The meat stuck in my tooth gave me a lot of discomforts that I had to buy a pack of the toothpick. Doing that even heightened my anger when I discovered that a pack of toothpick goes for N50 naira only. #irorospeaks

That amount wasn't up to 1% of what I paid at that restaurant. Are they so disorganized that they couldn't get as little as a toothpick? He even said if I came the following day he would give me two. Can you imagine? #irorospeaks

I doubt I would go back there again. I wonder who else has experienced similar things at that restaurant and decides not to go back there just as I decided. It won't be long before they are out of business if they don't fix this. #irorospeaks

Dear business owners, never forget you are in business for your customers. If they are not happy with your service, don't expect to be happy at your bank. #irorospeaks

Customer satisfaction should be a priority. Constantly review your service delivery. Are your customers leaving happier than when they stepped into your place? If they're not, there is a high chance you won't see them again. #irorospeaks

If you take good care of your customers, they won't see any reason to leave you. Even if they relocate, they will still be in touch with you. Don't make the mistake of taking your customers for granted. #irorospeaks

At this point, I wished the restaurant manager was on twitter to read this, but I don't he is. So you reading this and you have a business, here is a crucial lesson for you to learn. #irorospeaks
