Now that we know that Kanye West's presidential bid is just a Trump 2020 campaign operation—that the two campaigns are not merely colluding in secret, but that the former is indeed an adjunct of the latter—can some campaign finance expert tell me how many laws are being violated?
Like, I assume it's not legal under existing federal law for one presidential campaign to recruit, staff, and advise a second campaign—and thereafter coordinate advertising and other campaign expenditures? Based on today's NYT report, I'd think the feds would start investigating?
The problem, of course, is collusion and illegally coordinated campaign expenditures between the Trump and West campaigns can't be investigated under the standing DOJ edict issued by Attorney General Bill Barr. I wonder how long after the edict the fake Kanye West campaign began.
