remember Michael and Laura Hild, the privileged master gentrifier couple, whose plans to colonize a historically Black neighborhood were foiled by community pressure?
once the court opens back up, they will be trying to evict several families despite using their company, Church Hill Vultures -- sorry, Ventures 😉 -- to become multimillionaires while pricing working class people out of the city.
how did they do this? well, Michael Hild is said to have used $18M in fraudulent earnings to buy out shareholders of his own company, Live Well. with control of the board he fattened his greedy pockets as shown here. 
the feds say that Michael and Laura expanded their empire by taking their dirty money and dumping it into numerous other business throughout Richmond.
Michael's pending charges say that he & Laura used money that they gained through defrauding investors to purchase these properties around Southside Richmond. surely millionaires don't have vacation homes in #RVA. these must be rental properties where their evictions occur.
Michael wants rent money from tenants immediately. but his privilege earned him a 6 month delay for his trial. he says that he needs more time because of the pandemic. too bad his renters don't get that kind of consideration from the courts.
during this time that he was fattening his wallet and buying up property by defrauding investors and shitting on Black neighborhoods, he was also donating to the Councilperson of that neighborhood. interesting...

all in all, Michael AND Laura are scum and should be tarred, feathered, and run out of town. it is a wonder that protesters have not targeted their many properties. it surely would be justified.
