[SOUND ON] "It feels like we live in Middle Ages." Here is audio recorded last night near the Minsk detention center where hundreds/thousands are being kept, indoor and outdoor. You can hear screams and moans from beatings.
"They were beating me, harassing, taking pants off, threatening to f***" Some detainees released from the detention center described the tortures they experienced.
Some detainees are taken by ambulances right from there.
URGENT! Happening now. People should stop clapping near the prison! Each time when people are clapping or chanting near the walls of prison -- prisoners are beaten unconscious. Real fascism!
My colleague is near the detention center now. He says that two girls just left the detention center. They are in shock, they can't speak, they are сrying. Other detainees say that some people might be beaten to death. Other describes the place as the hell.
I've been detained at that center for three times (i am on the photo). It's a horrible place indeed, inhuman conditions. People were beaten there before as well. But not like now! Now - they are killing people there.
[GRAPHIC CONTENT] Multiple hematomas. But at least they are alive.

Meanwhile, Minister of Interior Karaev said on state TV that he takes responsibility and apologizes for the injuries of random people at the protests
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Barsukov came to the Detention Center and promised to release detainees from Minsk and Žodzina until 6 am. He also said that nobody was beaten nor tortured.
The released protesters spoke out. There were 46 people in the cell supposed to fit max six. It was still much better than outdoor on the asphalt. Periodically, they were kicked out and beaten. Some people had broken arms and legs. Read these testimonies news.tut.by/society/696598…

This guy claims that he was helping paramedics to load the wounded man to the ambulance when the riot police attacked him from the back and hit him with something heavy
International attention helped. Many detainees were released last night from detention centers where they have been tortured. They are morally depressed, some in bad condition. Many are still in hospitals. We hope they all will survive.
