❗️At least 8 explosions in the Homiel region near the border with Ukraine. According to witnesses, explosions took place near Ziabrauka airfield. Russian military aircraft are often stationed there. So far, there is no confirmation if these explosions are connected to any military drills conducted by the Russian and Belarus armies on Belarus territory. Ziabrauka airfield is used by Russian aviation in the war against Ukraine.

Russia gave up on taking Kyiv also because of lack of stable railway logistics. Belarus railway partisans disrupted connection with🇺🇦. Echelons got delayed, schedules & plans disrupted. When Ukrainian army retakes control over border, Russians will not repeat the "blitzkrieg" Image Many write that the Russians in Belarus had a comfortable rear. Not always. Russians had constant troubles with refueling equipment, even with Mazyr Oil Refinery. Photographing the 🇷🇺equipment has become a sport for Belarusians, and critical intelligence piece for the 🇺🇦 Image

Belarusians are joining the rallies against Russian aggression all over the world. You can easily spot white-red-white flags on the videos. Lukashenka had committed treason by allowing Russian troops to invade Ukraine from Belarus. The absolute majority of Belarusians condemn it. The rally in support of Ukraine in Helsinki, Finland.

The student's trial is taking place in Belarus. Yesterday they said their “last words”. I want you to read them. All of these young people are bright & intelligent - the complete opposite to those who are judging them. They are the future, which Lukashenka is trying to destroy. Alana Hebrymariam, Sviatlana @Tsihanouskaya representative on the Youth:
«I am against violence. I supported the students who strived for a dialogue with the university administration to be heard. I won't admit the guilt for the crimes I never committed & don't regret it.»

Stsiapan Latypau spent 51 days in a so-called "press-hata".This is a soundproofed torture chamber - no one can hear the screams of a person, that is suffering mentally & physically there. Stsiapan let us know what he experienced by the only mean left to him - by cutting his veins Before this incident, we could only guess what political prisoners are going through behind bars. They are very restricted in what they can tell. Sometimes we had seen parts of letters just cut off - because prison's censors don't want us to know the truth.

Devastating news - Political prisoner Vitold Ashurak died today in the Shklou colony. Political prisoners are marked with yellow tags there. There was no letter from him in the last 2 weeks, but in his last letter he said: "I will be released in 2021". My deepest condolences. Image Personally to me, Vitold Ashurak is a real hero, the regime is guilty of his untimely death. He would have been with his family. Even in prison, he remained free. He wrote in a letter: "If my peaceful protest is considered a crime by conspirators, it means I did everything right" ImageImageImageImage

(thread) Europe did not see such scale of repressions since the Greek junta's dictatorship ("black colonels") in Greece in the 1970s. Today human rights defenders identified at least 1002 names of prisoners who under investigation or already convicted for political reasons. HR activists identify 324 persons as political prisoners. 2,407 "extremist cases" have been filed. "Extremist orientation" now means all cases of a political nature. Many prisoners, incl the husband of @Tsihanouskaya, or M. Statkevich are in prison for almost one year already.

(thread) WHAT INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY CAN DO FOR BELARUS

Only last Sunday, >1300 people were detained. The repressions are escalating despite the entirely peaceful character of the protests. It’s crucial that EU, US, Canada, UK have the firm and consolidated policy on Belarus 1. Demand a re-run of the presidential election under international supervision, release of all political prisoners as the precondition; Recognize the leadership of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and Coordination Council as the representatives of Belarus people

The number of detained people is already more than 400, total amount can hit more than half a thousand. The lists are constantly updated. Lukashenka looks desperate to smother protests, obviously police are instructed to increase violence and to arbitrarily detain. Knowing that they can be shot, detained, abused, intimidated etc. Belarusians keep taking to the streets. It shows amazing courage and everyday heroism.
To be there unarmed facing insane criminals, knowing that your only weapon is truth.

Dispersed in one place, emerged in the other one. Just like the truth, which can't be hidden. No need in education or developing your intelligence. In Lukashenka's Belarus you just need balaclava, grenades, a baton. And then you can flail your hands inviting peaceful citizen for one on one fight.

Because of the threat of police assaults people are forming different columns and marching through the various parts of the city. One column has reached Minsk City Hero Obelisk, here is another column walking down Bahdanovič street. Lukashenka's thugs armed to the teeth against peaceful Belarusians whose only desire is to live in a free country with their human rights respected, not to be treated as slaves or cattle.
If not to know that these are police its easy to mistake them for terrorists.

Reports are coming in of a confrontation between protesters and riot police. Stun grenades being used. At least one protester is injured. Stun grenades were used to disperse the protesters. Lukashenka knows only the language of power and fear. This leads him nowhere - he is in a battle he doesn't understand.
