Trump & his Postmaster are sabotaging @USPS, and I won't stop fighting back. That's why I've called on the @OIGUSPS to investigate Louis DeJoy's delivery changes and corruption. #DontMessWithUSPScnbc.com/2020/08/13/eli…
Trump's efforts to dismantle the @USPS in the run-up to an election are an alarming threat to Americans' right to vote. Now more than ever, Democrats AND Republicans must do everything they can to shore up the @USPS and protect it from Trump's partisan games. #DontMessWithUSPS
Trump’s sabotage of the Postal Service threatens millions of Americans who need it to stay in touch with friends and family and rely on the @USPS for fast, reliable delivery of prescription drugs and everything else they buy online. #DontMessWithUSPS

Is Donald Trump going to respond to Musk’s email and report on what he did last week?
To help, I’ve gone ahead and done it for him. A thread:
1. Purged the military of experienced and qualified senior officers, putting our national security at risk.
2. Promised to protect Medicaid only to backtrack <24 hours later by endorsing the House Republican plan to cut health care to pay for tax cuts for the ultra-rich.
3. Fired the experts working to end bird flu (as egg prices go WAY up). Now frantically trying to find and rehire them.
4. Stopped the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from helping people who get scammed by Wall Street and giant corporations.
I called on Secretary Bessent to answer why and how he gave Elon Musk and his cronies permission to access government payment systems.
The response back raises more questions than answers.
Treasury says “currently” a set of staff members have “read-only” access but what about non-Treasury employees, like those working for Elon Musk and DOGE?
It’s just inconsistent with multiple public reports.
Secretary Bessent needs to explain how this happened, who had or has access to this information, and what protections are in place to protect the economy, national security, and Americans’ private data.
Trump’s one legislative accomplishment is a $2 trillion tax cut for the wealthy & corporations. Now he’s proposing another giant tax cut - $48 billion per year to just the Fortune 100, which raked in $1.1 trillion in profits last year.
Here’s who your money would be going to:
Big Banks. Trump’s 2nd corporate tax cut would give $4.1 billion per year to 5 of the largest Wall Street banks, which reported nearly $113 billion in profits last year.
Big Oil. Trump wants to give the five largest U.S. oil companies a $2.5 billion annual tax cut, which made more than $90 billion in profits last year.
Tomorrow the Supreme Court will hear arguments from Republican officials and special interests trying to block President Biden’s plan to cancel student loan debt for millions of Americans. Today I released a new report about what’s at stake. businessinsider.com/student-loan-f…
President Biden has clear authority under the HEROES Act to cancel student debt which will provide targeted relief to low-and middle-income borrowers and offer financial freedom from crushing student loan burdens. Here’s what @1kWomenStrong had to say about the benefits:
Spurious challenges to cancellation are causing financial anxiety for borrowers. Denying relief would be a financial disaster. @YoungInvincible said "it would be devastating & carry generational implications…for communities of low-income backgrounds & communities of color.”
All three of my brothers served in the military—so it’s deeply personal that I'm leading the @SASCDems Subcommittee on Personnel. I'll fight to make sure we live up to our values when it comes to supporting servicemembers and their families.
No military family should have to live in homes infested with mold. I’ll hold private housing contractors accountable and work to improve military housing for service members. They deserve to live with dignity and respect. rollcall.com/2022/11/15/sen…
The American people shouldn’t have to worry if Pentagon officials are putting their own financial interests ahead of our nation’s interests. We’ve got a lot of work to do to close the revolving door between DoD & defense contractors & foreign governments. thehill.com/policy/defense…
50 years after the #RoeVWade decision, women have been cheated. Our freedom to make our decisions about our health and futures has been ripped away by Republican extremists who have decided they can crowd into the examining room and decide our fates.
Today, I am furious, but I am more committed to this fight than ever. I don’t want to make reproductive health care decisions for politicians — and I don’t want them making those decisions for me, my daughter, or millions of other women.
Republican extremists have come for our constitutional rights, and millions of us are fighting back. When we can get abortion rights on the ballot, we’ve said in one, big, loud voice: back off.
