They came back and said: everything's fine, let's do this with one caveat. I said sure almost anything. They said: you can't mention my name, the name of my department, or the university anywhere near what we're doing. I said hey if it gets me your help no problem. Academics 2/n

Deafeningly silent professors and universities are on corruption in their own ranks on China. Stopping your research from ending up in Xinjiang concentration camps shouldn't be controversial. Accepting laundered funds shouldn't be controversial. Done.
