House Democrats passed the Heroes Act, which included $25 billion for USPS. Senate Republicans have blocked that all summer.
Additionally, House Democrats are using the appropriations process to seek policy changes to address mail backlogs. 6/

Changes to personnel, sorting systems, and allocation of resources are extremely alarming given Trump's public admission that the goal is to prevent people from voting.

Some of us, including myself and @GerryConnolly - who was leading the charge on Postal Service oversight and sounding the alarm about the Trump Administration's sabotage months ago - called on the Postmaster General to resign. 9/

This isn't enough. Congress must do more. We must do it faster. But Democrats DO care and we ARE working on it.
