Hi Everyone!

This is Rita. For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Pat Hackett’s spouse. It has been my great pleasure meeting many of you on the trail, and I’m looking forward to meeting many more of you in the days and weeks to come.
I asked to hop on here today spontaneously and unrehearsed to express my gratitude to everyone here working on behalf of Pat and our campaign for Dignity and Justice for All. I say “our“ campaign, because it truly is yours, ours, and every person’s in Indiana’s Second District.
It hasn’t been easy campaigning in a pandemic, but today shows just how much of a People’s Campaign this is. People from all over #IN02’s 10 counties are organizing, phone banking, and fundraising for the campaign to help with expenses like
print media, voter outreach, and all other kinds of paid communications such as television. Our hearts are very full with gratitude. Today is one such example.
I want to personally thank Kurt Bullard with Kurt Bullard Farms and Dwight Fish, Councilman, Elkhart’s 4th District, for the Sweet Corn Fundraiser at the corner of Chase and Main in Elkhart. Don’t worry, you haven’t missed it! It’s still going on until 3:00pm EDT today.
Biting into the fresh raw sweet corn picked this morning was literally for me a treat of warm sunshine mixed with earthy candy. Try it! It’s delicious and was just picked this morning.
The goodness and hospitality of the people in this district reaffirm for me how we are there for each other in these uncertain times. It’s what makes us who we are here in the heart of the midwest. It reaffirms why real representation is so important.
People need a representative like Pat who is relational, who wants to be with you, who isn’t afraid to have you ask her a question of any kind. Someone who can always find the time and/or make the time to be with you. #IN02
Thank you, Kurt Bullard Farms and Councilman Dwight Fish, for your Hoosier hospitality this morning! This was another memorable morning on the trail! #Elkhart #IN02
