I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the USPS is suddenly "collapsing and in danger" right as violent rioting is starting to fade, which happened right after the coronavirus outbreak had started to fade in the hardest hit areas.
The Democrats and media are suddenly pushing this hard. We're seeing all these new reports and articles saying it's on the brink of collapse. And naturally, it's all the fault of Orange Man Bad.
And yes, stuff we order isn't getting delivered. But everything else is. Bills sure still come on time. Junk mail is still as ubiquitous as always. But the stuff you ordered from somewhere gets shipped out, travels almost to its destination, and then sits at the closest hub.
The message is always one of two: "we tried to deliver it but you weren't there" (even if you were home waiting for it), or "we are delivering stuff as fast as we can, but coronavirus has slowed the process tremendously!" But those excuses aren't needed for bills and junk mail.
It's only happening to the mail and packages we pay attention to and care about. Nobody thinks of checking whether they are still receiving junk mail. It just fills the box every day like normal. But when that package you ordered hasn't arrived weeks late, they sure notice!
So yeah, all these delays getting you the mail and packages you actually want, while still delivering the junk and bills aren't a sudden collapse of the USPS; they're designed to make you notice and feel real effects of what these fearmongering news articles tell you.
"But it must be Trump doing this! He's trying to sabotage the mail system so we think we can't vote by mail!" they scream. Ah yes, he's making a part of his own government look terrible so that things stay the same as they are and most states continue not to vote by mail.
And how would he make this happen anyway? Have people even thought this through? Your local post office has far more ability to effect a change in your mail than the President of the United States. Your local postmaster governs far more controlling your mail delivery than Trump.
No, this is just another phase of the Resistance we're seeing being rolled out. You'll wait forever for a package to arrive while it sits down the road in holding, and while you see the postman deliver your junk mail every day like clockwork, all so that Orange Man Bad looks bad.
Speaking of which, better go check the mail. BRB.
