I just remembered this story from December, that Pompeo and Netanyahu discussed possible normalization between Israel and Morocco. A bunch of us diplomatic reporters in Lisbon that day scoffed at the story...now it looks like a possibility

We scoffed at it *and* we thought it was Netanyahu trying to appeal to Likud voters of Moroccan descent
Anyway, @elicoh1 said on Army Radio today that Bahrain and Oman are next in line for normalization, and that Sudan (which we knew because Netanyahu met with the leader) and Morocco could come after that.

In exchange for the normalization, fIsrael “will suspend declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the President’s Vision for Peace and focus its efforts now on expanding ties with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world,” White House statement reads.

tl;dr No annexation
Diplomatic sources in the US and Israel say sovereignty in part of Judea and Samaria are NOT off the table, but that they are on pause for now, in order to facilitate the peace deal with the UAE and possibly more Arab countries.

So Susan Rice is apparently leading the race to be Biden's running mate. Not great news for Israel, definitely not for Netanyahu. She was a big proponent of the Iran Deal, and in many ways unfriendly.

Democrats, and quite a few Israelis, including Oren, didn't like Netanyahu speaking in Congress over Obama's opposition, but Rice saw it as a racist move: “In her view, the Israeli leader did everything but ‘use the N-word in describing the president.’ ”
