1. In the 2016 election, there were 57.2 MILLION votes cast by mail.

Trump raised no objections.

Instead, he falsely claimed that 3 million undocumented immigrants voted.

Then Trump himself voted by mail in subsequent elections.

AFTER the pandemic made in-person voting potentially dangerous for many people

3. Less than a month later, in MAY, the USPS Board of Governors installed Louis DeJoy, a GOP fundraiser and political operative, as Postmaster General

DeJoy has donated "more than $650,000 to the Trump Victory Fund and more than $1 million to the RNC"

4. After DeJoy was installed, Trump intensified his attacks on mail in voting, claiming all mail-in ballots would be "substantially fraudulent."

He also claimed without evidence that mailboxes would be robbed.

5. DeJoy then began to sabotage USPS operations:

1. Eliminated overtime

2. Instructed postal workers to leave mail on the floor

3. Destroying sorting machines

4. Removing mailboxes

6. DeJoy also reversed a longstanding USPS policy to treat all election mail as first class, regardless of how it is sent. This will nearly triple the cost of conducting mail in voting for many states, even as the pandemic creates massive budget gaps

What is Congress doing?

Both the Senate AND House have recessed until September.

1K+ Americans are dying every day of COVID

Tens of millions are unemployed

Kids cannot safely return to school

The Postal Service is under attack

Why are they taking vacation?
I understand that Mitch McConnell may be conspiring with Trump to undermine the Postal Service.

But why is the House doing this?

Why aren't they holding hearings on the multiple crises afflicting this country?
Normally, before an election, members of Congress would be eager to return to their districts to campaign.

But you can't even really campaign in person!

You can do Zoom events from anywhere!

A Kodak board member used an exquisitely tied donation of stock to make THE LARGEST EVER DONATION TO A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION

It will net him tens of millions in tax deductions

It only received tax exempt status in September

There is very little evidence that the "congregation" conducts activities

He has a history of trouble with the SEC.
