3. In the context of a pandemic, this kind of disinformation is particularly dangerous. An article by RFK Jr. falsely claiming Bill Gates was sneaking a "sterilization formula" into vaccines generated 3.6 million views.

4. Weeks after publication, one of Facebook's fact-checkers debunked the article (in German.) But by that time the article was republished or excerpted by 29 other websites. Those websites generated another 4.7 million views and none were fact-checked

5. It's about scale. Facebook is doing a lot to try to combat COVID-19 misinformation but when billions of people are posting every day, it's not nearly enough.

It's too big not to fail.

Trump raised no objections.

Instead, he falsely claimed that 3 million undocumented immigrants voted.

Then Trump himself voted by mail in subsequent elections.

What is Congress doing?

Both the Senate AND House have recessed until September.

1K+ Americans are dying every day of COVID

Tens of millions are unemployed

Kids cannot safely return to school

The Postal Service is under attack

Why are they taking vacation?
I understand that Mitch McConnell may be conspiring with Trump to undermine the Postal Service.

But why is the House doing this?

Why aren't they holding hearings on the multiple crises afflicting this country?
Normally, before an election, members of Congress would be eager to return to their districts to campaign.

But you can't even really campaign in person!

You can do Zoom events from anywhere!

A Kodak board member used an exquisitely tied donation of stock to make THE LARGEST EVER DONATION TO A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION

It will net him tens of millions in tax deductions

It only received tax exempt status in September

There is very little evidence that the "congregation" conducts activities

He has a history of trouble with the SEC.
