And yet @marcorubio and others scramble to shield Trump.

From Rubio: "We can say, without any hesitation, that the Committee found absolutely no evidence that then-candidate Donald Trump or his campaign colluded with the Russian government. . ."🤦‍♀️

The problem isn't just a lawbreaking, Putin-loving president.

The problem is that he is being shielded by a major political party.

Trump would not be where he is without the Senate Republicans protecting him.

2/
I've talked about @ruthbenghiat explanation of how Trump co-opts and corrupts people. See:

Trump draws people in to his web of deceit.

Michael Cohen, James @Comey and others explain how Trump "eats your soul in pieces." (quotation from Comey)

From @Comey ⤵️

The report tells us, in very strong terms, that "the Russian government engaged in an aggressive, multi-faceted effort to influence . . . the outcome of the 2016 election."

4/
The coordination between the Trump officials (Manafort, Roger Stone, @GeorgePapa19 are outlined again, with additional evidence incriminating Trump. (We find out that Trump did talk to Roger Stone about Wikileaks)

But still, @marcorubio and others leap to defend him.

5/
Anyone who watched the impeachment proceedings knows that the GOP leadership will go to great lengths to eagerly and passionately lie for Trump and protect him.

I included the words "eagerly" and "passionately" because their support is not tepid, half-hearted, or reluctant.

6/
Some of their passion is because of the dynamics that @ruthbenghiat, @comey and others describe.

Once they're corrupted, they have no choice but to ardently defend Trump (and themselves).

Some is because the Fox-Trump-GOP is ideologically aligned with Putin's Russia.

7/
They prefer an alliance with Putin's Russia to the European Union.

The Report seems to cover the same ground as the Mueller Report, but goes a bit farther and is written with more force—and comes from a bipartisan Senate committee.

8/
Here we see the bipartisan committee making a curious excuse for the Trump campaign: Foreign entities "took advantage" of their "relative inexperience."

So it's okay to elected a president so "inexperienced" that he can be manipulated by foreign entities? 🤦‍♀️

9/
The sad conclusion is that no matter what Trump does, they'll defend him.

Here's Ron Johnson getting in on the act. The right-wing well-oiled propaganda loop will swing into action.
Fine. Go at it. Spin and deflect.

Enough people know the truth.
