This is an unconventional shot in the dark, but here it goes:

We’re looking for new investors in @ooneepod and I’m hoping that the #bikenyc crowd can share wisdom + advice on the process. Some of you know our story, but sharing it again below:

@ooneepod …I started the company because the experience of owning & using a bike sucked. Nobody really seemed to be talking about anything but safety.

I believe that the parking & service economy have to be much, much more convinient in order for bike to become mainstream in cities.

@ooneepod …we’re dedicated to building a vast network of *free to use* 🚲 parking hubs that provide services like repair and maintenance through an app (as well as connecting users to local 🚲 shops, 🚲 insurance and other neccessities.)

…owning a 🚲 should be as easy as owning a 🚘

@ooneepod …As a Black & Brown business, we’re especially dedicated to ensuring that everyone can use our service regardless of means or income. That’s why we fight to keep it free and instead shift the burden to advertisers and sponsors.

65 pct of our members are BIPOC. 1/2 below AMI.

@ooneepod ….our team is a scrapy motley crew with backgrounds in economic development, design and livable streets advocacy. Ppl said it wouldn’t work, but we created the 1st secure 🚲 and 🛴 prking hubs in #bikenyc

We’re raising money to scale this vision accross the city and USA

@ooneepod …specifically we believe that too much focus has been on the shared economy, and that not enough attention has been paid to pvt ownership even tho it accounts for a vast amount of usage.

We need to innovate the experience for everyone, not just those who use shared 🚲 and 🛴

@ooneepod …we’re unafraid and dedicated to tackling the “hard problem” in this space, which most others have avoided; infrastructure.

Micromobility will never transform cities w/o new infrastructure and innovative funding mechanisms to pay for it.

We must not ignore this any longer.

@ooneepod …good infrastructure, especially when it is managed competently, can change lives, and change communities.

That’s the future we envision….

@ooneepod ….its unusual for companies to announce a fundraisiing round in advance… but these are unusual times and this is an unconventional project.

I know there are many proflic fundraisers in the #bikenyc community and perhaps even a few investors….
