The only country in the world to have a legal minimum marriage age for women of 21 is Rwanda. Most countries have 18 or lower for both genders.

Why is the Indian govt proposing this highly oppressive state interference in rural and tribal life?

You don't "make someone aim high" by coercive restrictions. That is a colonial state trying to "fix" people. And it doesn't work.

At the same time the govt produces millions of unemployable graduates.

These colonial policies are driven by "shame" about Indian culture and the need to "civilize" the natives.

"Child marriage" was used to attack Hindu culture by the British, but even this critique of it admitted that early marriage *reduced* assaults.

Moronic argument. Younger unmarried girls will just be kidnapped and in a society suffused with porn you think they will delay sexual gratification till 21?

They'll become targets or elope with live-in relationship. Will only constrain law-abiding Hindus.
Frightening is how these measures are being pushed with complete contempt for society and to "look good" on international development indicators like MMR.

It is obvious that increasing marriage age will lead to more pre-marital sex, unwanted pregnancies and single mothers.

Is this the Western model of "development" that Govt of India wants to push, at a time when India already has among the highest age of marriage in the world?
Sex always has a likelihood of pregnancy.

The govt pushing for increase of marriage age means there is more likelihood of unwed unwanted pregnancy and single mothers.

For those who think increasing marriage age would make any change to predatory #RapeJihad.

Christians attacked the ritual classes all over the world, creating atrocity literature.

Struck by how this Hindu country, poorer than India, is still so much cleaner.

How @theliverdr pushes ideologically motivated garbage.

In a long post he claims that “science says” Giloy caused liver toxicity; in the same post he dismisses a study on Ashwagandha as garbage.

For the case against Giloy his reference is the propaganda rag, @thewire_in! 😏 Image
The Wire article further references an “observational study” which has a total sample size of 6 people!

No doubt this study is conducted by other Liver doctors trained in allopathy alone; and specifically targeting Giloy “twigs.”

Other than the limited sample size, the AYUSH response states that it is very easy to confuse Giloy with a similar, but toxic, plant; the “scientific” study didn’t actually even check if the correct plant was used.Image
So this 6-person study with any randomized control or double-blind test, where motivated researchers isolate a perhaps pre-determined conclusion is called “science.” Now let’s see what this doctor calls “underpowered garbage” which was “never done methodically.” Image

Europeans, particularly Germans, were so desperate for an “Aryan” identity based on Hindu texts because they had very little history or identity of their own.

The Germanic tribes were barbarians with little durable language or culture. To lay claim to Sanskrit and related knowledge allows them to attach to a glorious history.
The Germans weren't successors of Rome. The Italians had history, the Greeks had history, even the British could harken to a Celtic history, what did the Germans have?

This is how they became "Aryan" laying claiming to Sanskrit and Indo-European origins.

Lol, not Hitler was born and died a Christian. He was merely continuing anti-semitic policies of Popes in the past.

"Aryan" was not a religion to him, but a "race." Race itself is a construction of Europe, and he claimed to belong to the "Aryan race."
