During today’s #COVID19 UPDATE with @GovMikeDeWine, Lt. Gov. @JonHusted gave an update on the #OhioIPPromise launched last year to streamline the process for guiding intellectual property through to commercialization.

“Ohio is home to a lot of great research.” JH Image
The #OhioIPPromise enabled the @uofcincy to generate a record 400 percent increase in startups last year, spun out of UC intellectual property, & a 1,000 percent increase this year.
.@UDRI_1 also joined the #OhioIPPromise & developed tech that uses X-rays to diagnose COVID-19.

Lt. Governor @JonHusted on today’s sports update:

Hope is a powerful, sustaining presence in our lives, and I know for many student athletes it has been essential.
Much like the sport you play, success of this opportunity lies with the execution of the game plan. Athletes, coaches and families must demonstrate the discipline to follow the rules so that they can protect themselves and teammates from the spread of the coronavirus.
One of the benefits of proceeding with sports is that athletes, coaches and families have an additional incentive to make sure that off the playing field they are doing things right as it relates to wearing masks, social distancing and stopping the spread of the virus.
