We're waiting for @BTS_twt' press conference for "Dynamite" to start in ten minutes! It's for media only, but we'll let you posted on what the members say -- stay in this thread💜
The members just gave short introductions, and Jimin stuttered a little bit because he felt nervous and excited. Suga said, "We had a lot of fun working on the song. It gave us a lot of strength, and we hope the song will give you strength too."
Suga: "Dynamite" is a bright, cheerful disco pop with a message of confidence and happiness.
Jin: It's a song that BTS wants to say at the moment.
RM: The release of "Dynamite" wasn't planned at all; since the beginning of this year, we were working on our album and "Dynamite" was one of the songs we met in that process. It was a light, fun song that didn't have any seriousness.
RM continues: While recording, we danced along to it a lot. And we thought we wanted to share this energy with our fans as quickly as possible and decided to release it early, something we've never done, but we just couldn't wait.
J-Hope: I absolutely, absolutely loved the track's melody and vibe, and we wanted to share that with many people. We tried our best to deliver the good vibe that we got when first hearing the song, so we did our best to deliver that feeling.
Jungkook: The choreography is quite easy this time, so I believe a lot of fans could dance to it in their rooms. Each members also have an opportunity to show their unique charms and gestures.
RM: The first performance would be on VMA, an awards show we didn't attend yet. We were nominated before, but it is our first debut. Since Dynamite is a new challenge for us, we decided to take new challenges of performing it too.
Regarding the new album, Jimin said he took upon a PM role while V was in charge of the visual directing. The members said V worked really hard on this album, putting together schedules and everything which V declined to elaborate in the risk of spoiling anything.
J-Hope: The vocal range of this song was very wide for me, so I had some trouble singing it at times. While recording the MV, we had a lot of flexibility and were able to make up dance moves on the spot so it carries a lot of vitality and is special for us.
Jin: Through this song, we wanted to say, this time is difficult but let's overcome together. And we wanted to deliver that through singing and dancing, what we do best. We also wanted to show a new side of us, and hope everyone around the world gets a lot of strength from it.
V: The upcoming album will contain a lot of our personal touches, unique charms and characteristics. Our previous albums contained our touch too, but this one especially shows more of that.
Regarding their recent appearance on I-Land, J-Hope said "A lot of the trainees are probably doing their best but are still not sure if they're doing well or going in the right direction. Through the show, I also thought about what I had felt at the start of my career."
Jungkook added: I hope everyone cultivates more love for themselves. There will be many times trainees will feel tired and exhausted but that will also contribute to their growth.
Regarding the pandemic situation, V said "Everyone, not just us, is having a hard time. The reason we are releasing a song that wasn't a part of our plan was because of this crisis. Many things we planned didn't happen either.
V continues: Through this period, we again have reaffirmed our love for music. But most importantly, we realized the importance of people who listen to our music. We need them to do music. We sincerely hope Dynamite will deliver them the strength needed.
RM: The pandemic was unexpected and we felt angry and didn't know what to do. Once some time has passed, however, we began to realize while the virus may have put a temporary stop in our activity, it gave us time and opportunity to think about our music and attempt something new.
As a final word, Jimin said "We are releasing Dynamite because we want people to be happy. And to be happy, you have to take care of your health. So I hope our fans will keep wearing masks and won't get sick."
The press conference has just ended. Get ready to disco! @BTS_twt

[Showcase] @psy_oppa said it was @BTS_twt Suga who had reached out to him for collaboration around fall 2021. "Leading a successful career as an individual composer himself, #SUGA came to me saying he made a track perfect for me and said he wanted to produce for me." #PSYxSUGA
[Showcase] @psy_oppa on "That That": "He brought the instrumental accompaniment for 'That That." I was then worried that I had to stop making EDM, but I couldn't do something slow. And came in my mind was a Latin-base dance tune, which was exactly what @BTS_twt Suga had brought."
[Showcase] @psy_oppa said "That That" MV was filmed in March at a muddy beach in Incheon. "Our feet sunk into the sand every two step and it rained that morning so it was cold. @BTS_twt#SUGA went through a lot that day and I'm ever so grateful every time I watch the MV." #PSY9th
.@BTS_twt’s V: “We’ll continue to shoot in front of the camera, but I don’t need any of that. I want to come back here. I think I will go back with all your emotions and everything that I saw from #ARMY. I think I’m going to have another concert tonight in my dreams." 🌟
.@BTS_twt Suga: #PTD performance was a big challenge. We're getting older, and let me tell you why we set this concert without solo songs. We prepared everything, from the cue sheet to devices, because we've been away for two years, and we wanted full attention on seven of us. 🔥
.@BTS_twt RM: "I’ve been feeling myself pushed to limits, trying to remember what I did, who I was. But I knew I’d be able to remember when I came here. And although V had to sit out and you guys aren’t here, I realized I won’t need any motivation if I could just hold a concert.”
.@BTS_twt J-Hope: “We filled the whole setlist by all seven of us. It was a challenge for us, and there were difficult moments, figuring out how to maintain the tension. We really put in a lot of effort, our souls into decorating PTD On Stage. We wonder how you guys found them.”
.@BTS_twt Jimin: “The Olympic Stadium is really big, and without anyone here, it feels half like doing a rehearsal. It’s becoming more difficult to think of what to say now that I’ve said so much without you guys here. But I feel we’re gonna meet soon, so let’s talk more then.”
.@pledis_17’s Seung-kwan says he misses his other two Chinese bandmates The8 and Jun. “From being on stage to my daily life, I miss them. We pre-recorded our stage today, and the two members thanked us for singing their parts. They’re doing well in China, and so are we.” #Attacca
Talking about what fans should pay attention to, DK said @pledis_17 has become more mature this time. “We talk about love in our songs, but compared to our previous album, this album is about passionate love.” #Attacca_Dday
.@pledis_17's Hoshi said he tried to blend in the song's energy into the choreography, likening the energy to as if the 13 boys are scudding. "We haven't come up with the name for the moves, but the 'baby hold on' part is an easy follow." #Attacca
.@BLACKPINK members will soon livestream a global press conference about their upcoming Netflix documentary "Blackpink: Light Up the Sky," joined by the film's director Caroline Suh. The event is media-only but we'll be updating key comments on this thread, so stay tuned Blinks!
Jennie: It felt new even for us to face our young selves. We've only shown the flashy sides of us since our debut, so with the documentary we wanted to share the more ordinary sides of us up close to our fans.
Rose: To be more honest, we all answered in our most comfortable languages. Jennie and I spoke in English, Jisoo in Korean and Lisa in Thai. There's a lot of language, but I think this in itself also symbolizes us.
The surprise media event celebrating the success of "Dynamite" is beginning soon! @BTS_twt members will be sharing their thoughts and reactions about topping the Billboard chart. Stay tuned in our thread to get live updates.
J-Hope: I feel overwhelmed because my team's sincerity seems to connected with the world. It is an honor for our fans too. The fans' support is my driving force to work hard, and I think that power permeated into making BTS and J-Hope. I want to give all the glory to our fans.
Jimin: I never imagined it. There was a certain expectation, the members expected it too somewhat, and the fans looked forward to it, so I wanted to receive it at least once in a lifetime, but I still can't believe it, I'm so happy. (MC: I heard that Jimin cried and cried.)
