Many things are easy to defend on the theoretical level, when they theory in question is popular in prestigious liberal circles. It becomes much harder, and more distasteful, to defend it when it comes to actual humans:

The reason liberals though it was unconscionable for Bernie to tout Rogan's quasi-endorsement -- while being unbothered by Biden's touting of the more conservative *Mike Bloomberg's* endorsement -- is Rogan is *culturally* gauche while Bloomberg is steeped in cultural liberalism.
