2)to be that difficult. Right is right, wrong is wrong. Simple. In PPPs video, we shared info that is easily accessible or at minimum easy to find. In light of the unsupervised practice bill being promoted in CA, PPP, the CA chapter, decided to share with the public our concerns.
3)Our panel included an psychiatric RN who has been practicing for 9 years. Her hope was to be a psychiatric NP. She held her program to a standard it did not rise to. It is still currently under an investigation which began on a complaint lodged by her(due to them providing a
4)jpreceptor not approved by her state of NY). One of the main issues PPP has pointed out is about the inconsistent, non-standardized NP education. Now, many NPs have acknowledged that these programs exist and are proliferating rapidly, including the former president of the
5)American Association of Nurse Practitioners(AANP). PPP is also aware that the AANP and other nursing organizations do not want this fact about these programs to be well-known amongst the public because it will affect their ability to promote "full practice authority", aka:
6)"independent" practice. The fact that the public needs to know is not a priority, they want to keep it within their circle until they figure out what to do and keep the public in the dark. PPP believes the public should know so they can ask the right questions to whomever is
7)providing their care. Because we believe an informed patient is an empowered patient. We think NPs should be talking about this in a public forum, not us, since it is their education system. But they haven't been forthcoming. Imagine our surprise when a NP student was invited
8)to be on our panel and accepted. Most NPs are petrified to say anything against FPA in public because they know they will be crucified. This RN knew the same, but did it anyway. Because she felt it was time for the public to know. For legislators to hear it from a nurse instead
9)of physicians. Because the legislators think we are lying and won't do their homework. Well, true to form, this RN is being villified. It is relentless. PPP expected this and took control of her phone and social media pages after the press conference so that we could archive
10)any threats/cyberbullying, should we need to involve law enforcement or the legal system. Much like "Shots Heard Around the World" which protects docs being cyberbullied by rabid anti-vaxxers. Some comments, although not actionable, are vile. Worst of all, most of them 
11) emanate from psychiatric nurse forums. Yapping about her upbringing, questioning her intelligence, threatening to contact her school or sue her for slander. Although nothing she said was a lie. Same old ad hominem s**t and threats many of us physicians had to deal with when

13)believes that, she is paying the price. Most disgusting is the man who makes a comment about her not being able to "find a cervix". That barely concealed misogynistic, unnecessary comment was not challenged by one female NP in that forum. NOT ONE. Which means they condone
14)that s**t. And that psychiatric NPs are attacking her the most...well, there are no words. She is exhausted. From doing the right thing. We have advised her to stay off social media, for her sake. These abusive individuals won't be satisfied until she does something to harm
15)herself. We are not about to let that happen. And for NPs watching this s**t and saying nothing, including those of you who don't agree with FPA, shame on you. Hate PPP all you want, but don't hate an individual who spoke her truth and the truth. Docs, please show her support.
