While minding my own business, I was alerted to the fact that some NP conspiracy theorists and worry warts have taken leave of their senses and accused "The PPP" of taking over the mind and body of a human being by the name of Rayne Thoman, NP. "The PPP" is actually PPP and the
2)lead of this action is none other than myself, cult leader extraordinaire, Dr. Natalie Newman, MD, FAAEM. Here is the actual reality for those on Earth. I am an admin for a group of physicians who lend support to other physicians suffering from moral injury, abuse and any other
3)s**t that makes docs want to commit suicide. My entrance occurred into social media occurred in 2016; for one reason: I read about an ER physician who attempted to commit suicide after losing a patient who was a child. He blamed himself. Fortunately, his attempt failed and he
4)survived and is doing well, I presume. That story led me to an EM organization that had a "Help EM Doc" PM page. I wanted to join to help my colleagues 'cause that is the kind of chick I am. That led me to the psychotic world of social media. Now back to Rayne. Knowing what
5)would occur to Rayne after the PPP video on AB 890 went viral, I proactively made a decision for the group(PPP) that we would protect her from the vileness that was sure to follow. And follow it did, all you have to do is go to PPPs public page and review it for yourselves.
6)Look at the video while you are at it. I also knew that any other social media sites Rayne was on would blow up. They did. By the way, the abuse began 2-3 days before the video, because that is how bullying works. Rayne was instructed to stay off the social media sites because
7)she was being affected psychologically and emotionally. I don't like that s**t. People kill themselves over such nonsense. I wasn't going to allow that to happen, not on my watch. If anyone was threatening her, I was going to archive and I told my colleagues to archive. For the
8)paranoid individuals, I have never accessed any NP site to which she belongs. Don't need to. The queens and kings of harassment can't manage to remain in the groups, they always have to talk s**t publicly. And I have no interest in witnessing anything in those groups or
9)the s**t they say, not my style. If I was interested in being a gossip girl or guy, I would go back to high school. I simply told her to stop reading that s**t and leave the groups. In all seriousness, cyberbullying is repulsive and abhorrent and the people engaging in it have
10)every intention of causing harm. I wanted them to know I see them. They were not going to harm this girl if I could help it. She shared information that all of them could have shared with the public and didn't--by choice. They know that s**t is wrong, but I also understand
11)their fear--look what happened to Rayne. She chose not to let fear stop her from doing the right thing. So if she was going to pay the price, PPP was not going to allow her to stand alone. My mistake was in not informing the board of my intent before doing that, and to them I
12)apologize. But I make no apologies for supporting Rayne. Absolutely none. I will now step off my soapbox. Paranoid, schizoid, conspiracy theorists....carry on.
