As @weatherdak notes, there is no time or length scale in viral gif. Australian bushfires lasted 6 months & were enormous compared to the Siberian or Californian fires. Or to the Amazon, Indonesian, Congo fires last year. A different order of catastrophe

Fires in Amazon, Arctic, Australia, America, each have different drivers (logging, clearing pastures etc). Droughts & warming affect ecosystems differently.
